If you and your partner are looking to elope, you came to the right blog! I’ve helped several couples get hitched in the most random and beautifully unique locations. It’s up to you to dream of your wedding backdrop and I, as your marriage officiant, can make that happen!
Here’s what you need:
First and foremost, you need a partner! (Hopefully that’s a quick checkmark!)
Second, you need a marriage license.
Third, you will need to find a marriage officiant – PICK ME!
Fourth, you will need a witness (depending on the type of license you obtain).
Once you’ve attained those four things, we can get started!
Do you and your significant other love to hike?
If so, check out a previous blog post here for major wedding backdrop inspo!
My favorite elopements have been hiking to the top of a mountain peak and letting the serene sound of nature set the tone for your future together.
Do you two love the beach?
Do you two love coffee?
Do you two love gardening together?
There is a plethora of breath-taking and fun places right in your backyard! If you don’t have one in mind, I can help find a place for you. I also work with badass photographers who have an eye for uniqueness. I can make suggestions based on our meeting and getting know one another.
The marriage license is the number one topic of conversation when I first speak to couples. I get it! This process is completely foreign to you as it is probably your first time getting married. Heck, even if it’s your second time, there are new questions to be asked! The actual act of obtaining a license is something I can’t do for you, but please don’t fret, I am here to guide you through this process. Depending on the location of your ceremony, I can suggest where to obtain a marriage license and inform you on the requirements.
0, 1 or 2?
Some states allow for a confidential marriage license where a witness is not required. If you obtain a standard marriage license, a minimum of one witness and up to two are required depending on jurisdiction. If you plan on having an amazing photographer, they can totally be your witness! If not, maybe have a close friend of the two of you join us for the ceremony or we can ask a random hiker or patron at the coffee shop to sign. There are many options for this part!
Leave it up to me to create a beautiful, custom marriage ceremony for you both. All I ask is that I get to know you two a bit more to understand your goals for not only this ceremony, but your union for a lifetime. I absolutely enjoy getting acquainted with couples and I can’t wait to get to know you and your future spouse!
